New grant opportunities for Black health projects in Lambeth
Black-led voluntary, community and faith sector (VCFS) organisations based in and/or operating in Lambeth can now apply for one of five £2,000 grants through the Inspire Lambeth Black Communities Health Inequalities Small Grants Fund.
Delivered through Inspire Lambeth, supported by Lambeth Together and funded through South East London NHS health inequalities funding, the programme will support new community-led activities, pilot projects and new ways of working that improve health and wellbeing, help reduce health inequalities and strengthen grassroots community capacity for Black African and Black Caribbean communities in Lambeth.
As Lambeth Together develops the neighbourhood health model, the fund aims to support a range of projects that collectively provide coverage across Lambeth’s five neighbourhoods.The fund recognises the important role that Black-led organisations play in supporting health and wellbeing and addressing health inequalities through community leadership, lived experience and local knowledge.
Five grants of £2,000 are available to support projects that:
- Improve health and wellbeing.
- Help people access and use health services.
- Bring people together and reduce isolation.
- Build trust and confidence in local health and wellbeing support.
- Strengthen community support and resilience.
Applications open on 9 October 2026 and close at 11.45pm on Sunday 1 November 2026.
