  1. It’s Creativity and Wellbeing Week! Running from 18 to 24 May 2026, communities across the country are coming together to engage in creative activities, and celebrate their impact on health and wellbeing.

    The benefits of creative health are numerous, from helping to manage long term health conditions to promoting better mental and physical health through:

    • Connection with others
    • The opportunity to learn and develop new skills
    • Moving your body
    • Expressing yourself artistically

    Creative health can also play a role in strengthening community and creating healthier neighbourhoods.

  2. Lambeth’s revised sexual health strategy prioritises access, prevention, and inclusion. The new five-year sexual and reproductive health & HIV strategy represents a significant advancement toward improving population health outcomes. Its objectives include addressing increasing demand for services, ensuring sustainable funding, and reducing disparities in sexual health.

  3. Age UK Lambeth is running a series of free Winter Wellbeing events and home energy services to help older residents stay healthy, warm and connected this winter. The programme includes expert Q&As, flu vaccinations, and practical energy-saving support.

    Residents are invited to Vidas in Brixton for a chance to ask local doctors and public health experts their winter health questions, enjoy refreshments, and receive a free flu vaccination.

  4. Lambeth’s fourth ‘Inspire’ Black communities health and wellbeing day drew over 450 people to St Mark’s Church in Kennington on Saturday 25 October. This popular event takes place annually during Black History Month, and connects individuals with advice, information and support to take charge of their health, and interact with vital services in a community setting.
