  1. It’s Creativity and Wellbeing Week! Running from 18 to 24 May 2026, communities across the country are coming together to engage in creative activities, and celebrate their impact on health and wellbeing.

The benefits of creative health are numerous, from helping to manage long term health conditions to promoting better mental and physical health through:

    • Connection with others
    • The opportunity to learn and develop new skills
    • Moving your body
    • Expressing yourself artistically

Creative health can also play a role in strengthening community and creating healthier neighbourhoods.

  2. Monday 11 May marks the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Week this year, and the theme is ‘Action.’ While raising awareness remains essential, ‘taking action’ is vital to lasting change and better health all year round.

Lambeth Together and Partnership Southwark have created a short video exploring the different ways residents can take action on their mental health through the 5 Steps to Mental Wellbeing.

  3. Lambeth Together has published a new real‑life story illustrating the life‑changing support offered by the Evening Sanctuary at Mosaic Clubhouse— a community service commissioned by the Living Well Network Alliance for Lambeth residents. The story is being shared as the Alliance prepares to present its annual report at the March public Board meeting, offering a timely reflection on how community‑based mental health services are preventing crises and reducing pressure on emergency care.

  4. After a weekend celebrating love, Lambeth residents over 40 are being encouraged to show their hearts a little care this Heart Month by dropping into a local pharmacy for a quick, free blood pressure check.

High blood pressure remains a major issue in the borough, with data showing that just over 34% of Lambeth adults have higher‑than‑average blood pressure.
