STI testing in Lambeth is free and easier than ever

Getting tested for STIs and HIV has never been easier. Whether you prefer to test at home, visit your GP, attend a sexual health clinic or access community outreach services, there are a range of free and confidential options available to Lambeth residents. Testing is a key message in Lambeth’s sexual health communications programme, which aims to increase awareness that testing is free, accessible and available both online and in person.

Most people with a STI or HIV have no symptoms, which is why regular testing is important if you’re sexually active. Knowing your status helps you take control of your health and, if needed, access treatment and support early.

Two cartoon characters shaped like drops hug under text encouraging regular STI testing. A QR code and logos for Lambeth and sexual health services appear at the bottom. The design uses pastel colours.

Where can I get a test?

You can:

  • Order a free home HIV test kit and take the test in the privacy of your own home
  • Visit a local sexual health clinic for free and confidential testing
  • Ask your local pharmacy or GP for a test
  • Access testing through community outreach and health promotion events taking place across Lambeth throughout the year
  • Testing is quick, free and confidential

If you’re having sex, you should be getting tested regularly. Testing is designed to be safe, welcoming and inclusive for everyone.
