  1. The 2026 Lambeth Carers Awards are open for nominations until 20 July. Local people are encouraged to nominate exceptional individuals who care for others in the community.

  2. Unbound Moving Arts’ Rhythms Club is celebrating after being awarded £6,837 of National Lottery funding from Sport England to help continue its work with older adults in Brixton. The funding will support 41 weeks of free, accessible movement classes for over-60s, delivered in partnership with Age UK Lambeth and MySocial.

  3. It’s Creativity and Wellbeing Week! Running from 18 to 24 May 2026, communities across the country are coming together to engage in creative activities, and celebrate their impact on health and wellbeing.

    The benefits of creative health are numerous, from helping to manage long term health conditions to promoting better mental and physical health through:

    • Connection with others
    • The opportunity to learn and develop new skills
    • Moving your body
    • Expressing yourself artistically

    Creative health can also play a role in strengthening community and creating healthier neighbourhoods.

  4. Monday 11 May marks the beginning of Mental Health Awareness Week this year, and the theme is ‘Action.’ While raising awareness remains essential, ‘taking action’ is vital to lasting change and better health all year round.

    Lambeth Together and Partnership Southwark have created a short video exploring the different ways residents can take action on their mental health through the 5 Steps to Mental Wellbeing.
