Over the weekend, we hosted a marquee at the Lambeth Country Show, alongside Active Lambeth, providing information on a range of health and care services for residents. The marquee drew in visitors keen to take advantage of free blood pressure checks and valuable advice from staff across the Borough’s health and care partnership.

The message of Mental Health Awareness Week, which runs from 13 to 19 May, is ‘Moving more for mental health’. Throughout the week, Active Lambeth Leisure Centres will be running a host of free activities for Lambeth residents to get moving and boost their mental wellbeing.

For Great Mental Health Day on January 26, Lambeth Council invited mental health specialist Juney Muhammad from South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) to lead a discussion with voluntary groups on recognising and supporting people who might be struggling with their mental wellbeing.

Youth focused organisations come together to support teen wellbeing
Young people from 13-19 can learn about the many opportunities, services and sources of support available in Lambeth, from arts and drama to sports, looking after their mental health and accessing contraception or sexual health advice.
