Help shape care for Black women with fibroids or endometriosis in Lambeth
Are you a Black women living with fibroids and/or endometriosis in Lambeth? Healthwatch Lambeth want to understand how those conditions impact your physical and emotional health, as well as your experience of diagnosis, treatment, support available and self-care. Your feedback is anonymous and will help define what good care looks like and how support and treatment can be improved.

Fibroids are non-cancerous growths that develop in and around the womb (uterus). Endometriosis is where cells similar to those in the lining of the womb (uterus) grow in other parts of the body. This project aims to better understand residents’ awareness of these conditions, as well as their experiences of diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care.
Research shows Black women in the UK experience significant inequalities in care for fibroids and endometriosis, including higher prevalence, delayed diagnosis, and systemic barriers to treatment.
If you’re a Lambeth Black woman living with fibroids and/or endometriosis, share your story to shape better care. Please also help share this information with other Black women who may be interested in becoming involved.
