  1. Carer’s Hub Lambeth is marking Carer’s Rights Day on Thursday, 21 November, with a special evening event dedicated to supporting and celebrating local carers. This event is designed to provide both practical support and an opportunity for carers to connect with others in a friendly and supportive environment.

  2. More than 400 residents from across the borough attended the Age Well Festival at the Oval cricket ground on Saturday 5 October 2024, hosted by Lambeth Council’s  Age Friendly team. 

    A key priority for Lambeth Together is to improve health and care to our older residents.

  3. Taking place from 10-16 June, Carers Week seeks to ‘put carers on the map’. Lambeth is home to over 18,000 unpaid carers, looking after friends and family members who wouldn’t be able to get by without their support.

    Lambeth Council, NHS South East London and local partners including Carers Hub Lambeth, have committed to making visibility, recognition, identification and awareness of carers one of our seven priorities for supporting carers in the new Lambeth Carers Strategy.

  4. Today, on Carers’ Rights Day, we seek to raise awareness of the entitlements and support available for unpaid carers in Lambeth, and make sure that more local carers know how to access their rights and get the support they need.

    In the recent Lambeth Council consultation on the Carers Strategy, Lambeth carers were asked what local changes would make a difference to them.
