  1. Taking place from 10-16 June, Carers Week seeks to ‘put carers on the map’. Lambeth is home to over 18,000 unpaid carers, looking after friends and family members who wouldn’t be able to get by without their support.

    Lambeth Council, NHS South East London and local partners including Carers Hub Lambeth, have committed to making visibility, recognition, identification and awareness of carers one of our seven priorities for supporting carers in the new Lambeth Carers Strategy.

  2. Today, on Carers’ Rights Day, we seek to raise awareness of the entitlements and support available for unpaid carers in Lambeth, and make sure that more local carers know how to access their rights and get the support they need.

    In the recent Lambeth Council consultation on the Carers Strategy, Lambeth carers were asked what local changes would make a difference to them.

  3. Taking place from 5 June – 11 June, Carers Week is about recognising unpaid carers and their valuable contribution to our community. In Lambeth over 18,000 residents are looking after a friend, partner or family member who has an illness, disability, or addiction.
