What Caring Means to Me – Invitation

Carers’ Week 2020 | 8th -14th June | Making carers visible

This year’s Carers Week is all about Making Carers Visible – to services, to each other and to the general public. With the Covid 19 crisis further increasing the pressure and strain placed upon unpaid carers, it’s never been more important to raise awareness of carers. It is vital that we make sure carers are visible in Lambeth too.

During Carers week, Carers’ Hub Lambeth are inviting carers, community members, elected representatives and partner organisations to get involved in our ‘What Caring Means to Me’ social media campaign. To help raise awareness of unpaid carers and their huge contribution to our community. We’d be delighted if you took part. The more people who join in the stronger our message will be!

How do I get involved?

During Carers Week (Monday 8 June to Friday 14 June) , if you’re on Twitter or Facebook, please share a quote or a photo of yourself holding your quote about What Caring Means to Me. Please tag Carers’ Hub Lambeth @CarersHub and use the hashtag #CarersinLambeth. This will be a great way of showing the support for carers in our community.

Please take time out of your week to watch our Carers Week 2020 video – showcasing recent creative work by young carers and adult carers registered with Carers’ Hub. Looking at their recent experiences of caring during the pandemic and their contributions to the ‘What Caring Means to Me’ project.

This will be launched on Thursday 11th June 2020 at 9 am and available at www.carershub.org.uk or via the Carers’ Hub Lambeth Facebook page and Twitter feed. We would be delighted if you could watch the film and share with others who may be interested.
