Community groups in south east London can now apply for funding to improve care for Black mothers, birthing people and their babies. Up to £1.5 million is available through multi-year grants of up to three years and the deadline for applications is Saturday 10 January 2026.

In its first six months, Lambeth’s Women and Girls’ Health Hub has improved women’s access to specialist support, enhanced the skills of clinicians working in general practice, and shown promising signs of the potential of this model to deliver benefits for women and girls across the borough.

Healthwatch Lambeth want to understand how those conditions impact your physical and emotional health, as well as your experience of diagnosis, treatment, support available and self-care. Your feedback is anonymous and will help define what good care looks like and how support and treatment can be improved.

Women and girls across Lambeth are benefiting from a series of outreach initiatives designed to give them the support and information needed to manage their health confidently. The project is part of NHS South East London Women’s and Girls’ Health Programme and focuses on four key areas: heavy menstrual bleeding, contraception, pre-conception and menopause.
