  1. Community partners and the local NHS have teamed up to bring blood pressure checks and health advice into the community, catching dominoes players as they take part in a community tournament.

    Lambeth Together partner Black Thrive, in partnership with The Brixton Immortals Dominoes Club, NHS England and general practice staff from Lambeth’s Hills, Brooks, and Dales Primary Care Network, with support from the Ubele Initiative, are running this initiative to support improved detection and management of high blood pressure among Black men.

  2. On Wednesday 23 March we presented a review of our Covid-19 recovery plans at the Lambeth Together Care Partnership Board. The review reflected on the past 18 months, focusing on how we have responded as a health and care system to the ongoing challenges from the pandemic, lessons learned, and our next steps as a partnership.

  3. We’re delighted to announce that Dr Di Aitken received runner up under the Care in the Community category at the King’s Health Partners Mind & Body Awards on Wednesday. Dr Di was nominated for her “exemplar passion and advocacy in driving the support of mental health needs in physical health environments, whilst driving several key activities in Lambeth.”

  4. Thriving North Lambeth and partners are running an exciting Christmas event at the Black Prince Community Trust in Kennington/Vauxall on Sunday 5 December between 12-5pm.

     

    It’s going to be very community and family friendly with music, stalls, fun sporting and creative activities, bouncy castles, animals from Vauxhall City farm, festive food, health and wellbeing zone and of course, Santa Claus and some chestnuts!
