Lambeth’s fourth ‘Inspire’ Black communities health and wellbeing day drew over 450 people to St Mark’s Church in Kennington on Saturday 25 October. This popular event takes place annually during Black History Month, and connects individuals with advice, information and support to take charge of their health, and interact with vital services in a community setting.

HEAL-D is a seven week diet and lifestyle programme open to Lambeth residents. It has been culturally tailored and developed to support and empower people of African and Caribbean heritage, who are living with type 2 diabetes, to take charge of their health whilst enjoying the food from their culture.

On Saturday March 15 2025, Lambeth Town Hall was abuzz with energy and excitement as the SHERO event unfolded, dedicated to reclaiming Black women’s and family health. The event brought together a vibrant community of attendees, speakers, and performers, all united by a common goal: to empower and educate about sexual and reproductive health in the Black community.
