  1. Fostering during lockdown comes with unique challenges, but despite this, Lambeth heroes such as Alex, are welcoming vulnerable children into their homes.

    During Fostering Fortnight the council are appealing to the community – now, more than ever they need new people to come forwards and apply to become foster carers.

  2. Lambeth GP Food Co-op has been working in partnership with Lambeth Council to provide seed growing kits to thousands of vulnerable people in the borough, many of which are living with long term health conditions. As gardening activities across most of our sites has ceased, they thought they’d enable people to become actively involved in growing plants from home.

  3. Across London, the Met is continuing to prioritise and respond to domestic abuse calls and are working closely with a range of partners to ensure victims receive the support and service they need. The ongoing focus remains on preventing repeat victimisation and closely managing serious offenders.

  4. The overwhelming majority of people in London are doing exactly what the Government advice is asking, which is please stay at home and protect our National Health Service.

    The Met is here to protect and police London and we will continue to do that.
