Keeping older people warm, well and connected this Winter with Age UK Lambeth
Age UK Lambeth is running a series of free Winter Wellbeing events and home energy services to help older residents stay healthy, warm and connected this winter. The programme includes expert Q&As, flu vaccinations, and practical energy-saving support.

Residents are invited to Vidas in Brixton for a chance to ask local doctors and public health experts their winter health questions, enjoy refreshments, and receive a free flu vaccination. You can choose from one of two wellbeing fairs are coming up:
- Winter Wellbeing Fair
- Tuesday, 18 November 2025, 1 to 4pm
- Location: Vidas, Brixton
- Winter Wellbeing Fair
- Tuesday 2 December, 1 to 4pm
- Location: Vidas, Brixton
Alongside the events, Age UK Lambeth is offering two vital services to support residents most affected by the cost of living crisis. The Warm Homes Programme, funded by Age UK, provides free home energy checks for people aged 65+, helping them stay warm and reduce bills through tailored advice and simple energy-saving measures.
Meanwhile, the Lambeth Energy Boost Service offers one-to-one support and energy advice for anyone over 18 who is struggling to afford their gas or electricity.
These initiatives directly address local health inequalities by supporting older people, unpaid carers, and those with long-term health conditions, groups who are often most at risk of poor winter health and energy poverty.
Paul Coles, Chief Executive of Age UK Lambeth said: “Winter can be a challenging time for many older people in Lambeth. Through our Winter Wellbeing programme, we’re helping residents stay healthy, warm, and connected — ensuring no one is left behind this winter.”
