Share your views: new south east London sexual health strategy

Lambeth Council is leading a public consultation on a draft sexual and reproductive health and HIV strategy for 2025-2030, which sets out key priorities to strengthen sexual and reproductive health services across five south east London boroughs.

The new draft joint strategy sets out the priorities and goals for improving sexual health and wellbeing across Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Bromley and Bexley, with a focus on prevention and reducing health inequalities.

These boroughs continue to face some of the greatest sexual health challenges in England. Reducing sexual and reproductive health inequalities is a joint priority across these five councils, collectively known as LSBBB.  These local authorities jointly commission a range of services to support those who live, work and are educated in their boroughs to enable everyone to have easy access to information about the variety of free services and how to access them.

One of the mandated public health services Lambeth Council is responsible for commissioning is sexual and reproductive health services, this includes the provision of contraception and access to testing for sexually transmitted infections and HIV. The council have therefore launched a survey to hear local people’s thoughts on the draft strategy.

The survey will also give people an opportunity to let them know what has been working well and were they can focus their efforts, although you don’t need to have used sexual health services before to take part.

The information you provide will be kept strictly confidential and used only as statistical data for the purposes of feeding into the draft strategy.
