Major web revamp to improve access to sexual health services in SE London
Lambeth, Southwark, Lewisham, Bromley, and Bexley have some of the most significant sexual health inequalities in London, marked by high rates of HIV and STIs, particularly among young people, MSM, and BME communities. Following user feedback, a major revamp of the region’s Find Sexual Health website aims to improve access to services, providing timely and efficient support to help bridge these gaps.
Find Sexual Health is a website dedicated to providing comprehensive sexual health information and support in south east London. The resource will give people of all ages the knowledge and tools needed to make informed decisions about their sexual health and wellbeing.
Jennifer Reiter, Associate Director of Public Health Commissioning, Lambeth Council, said: “We believe that everyone has the right to accurate and inclusive sexual health information. Our mission is to remove barriers and provide accessible resources that encourage informed and healthy choices regarding people’s sexual and reproductive health.”
Launched in November 2023, the website has undergone a makeover to improve user experience. The new site was redeveloped with residents and clinicians to make it more visually appealing, easier to navigate and to include more information relevant to age, sexuality and ethnicity. It’s been designed to help you better:
- connect to free local and online sexual health services across southeast London
- manage your contraception needs online
- learn more about maintaining good sexual and reproductive health
