Lambeth Country Show 2025: health, community, and connection!

On 7 and 8 June 2025, Lambeth Together brought health and wellbeing services directly to the heart of the community at the Lambeth Country Show in Brockwell Park. As part of this much-loved annual event, the team engaged with local residents, offering free health checks, expert advice, and practical resources to support healthier living.

Our leadership team held 185 one-to-one conversations with residents, asking what matters most to them about their health and care, what their top priorities are, and how local services could better meet their needs.

Visitors were also invited to take part in blood pressure checks, receive personalised health advice, and explore a wide range of services aimed at helping people take proactive steps to improve their wellbeing.

Enhanced services onboard the Lambeth Together Health and Wellbeing Bus

This year’s show also marked the start of an enhanced health check offer from the Lambeth Health and Wellbeing Bus, part of South East London’s Vital 5 programme. Over the weekend, 23 people accessed this new service, involving 30 minute in-depth conversations. The team also introduced new factsheets designed to support women and girls’ health, covering topics such as heavy menstrual bleeding, contraception, pre-conception, and menopause.

The Lambeth Together tent was a hub of activity, with a wide range of partners including:

  • AT Beacon Project
  • Age UK Lambeth
  • Clinicians from local pharmacies and GP practices
  • Healthwatch Lambeth
  • Mosaic Clubhouse (mental health support)

Why the Country Show matters

With over 120,000 visitors attending across two days, the Lambeth Country Show is the largest community event in the borough’s calendar. Its diverse audience—spanning all ages, backgrounds, and neighbourhoods—makes it an ideal setting for Lambeth Together to reach people who may not otherwise engage with health services.

Lambeth Together’s presence at the show reflects its ongoing commitment to listening to residents, co-designing services, and making health and care more accessible for everyone.
