Simon Boote

Programme Lead, Lambeth Together Children and Young People's Alliance

Simon joined Lambeth Together as Director for our Children and Young People Alliance in July 2023. Before this, he spent four years as a senior manager in charge of complex adult and children’s cardiorespiratory (or heart and lungs) services at the Royal Brompton Hospital. Alongside this, Simon managed an operational network of over 20 hospitals, delivering heart disease services across the south and south east of England.

Simon was born in Liverpool and has over 15 years’ experience in healthcare, mainly in London. He began his career as a clinical physiologist specialising in lung function and sleep assessment, and spent some of his early career at the Brompton. Following his management training, Simon oversaw a medical directorate at the Bupa Cromwell Hospital for a time.

Throughout his time in management, Simon has worked towards instigating change within healthcare partnerships. His efforts have been mainly geared towards practical objectives: better access to care, enhanced health education, and localised care provision. He maintains an ongoing commitment to learning and improvement, understanding that these are key to ensuring resilient and sustainable health and social care.
