  1. Today, on Carers’ Rights Day, we seek to raise awareness of the entitlements and support available for unpaid carers in Lambeth, and make sure that more local carers know how to access their rights and get the support they need.

    In the recent Lambeth Council consultation on the Carers Strategy, Lambeth carers were asked what local changes would make a difference to them.

  2. Introducing the ‘Thrive for Life: Healthy Eating and Living Guide,’ developed in conjunction with Stockwell’s East African and Middle Eastern communities, health professionals, and dietitians. Led by Stockwell GP Dr. Vikesh Sharma’s Healthy Heart Hub, the initiative aims to address heart-related conditions locally with the people who are most impacted.

  3. On 23rd November 2023, West Norwood Library is hosting a Teen Wellness Fair bringing services, information and activities together under one roof to help inspire, educate and inform the future of Lambeth young people.

    Youth focused organisations come together to support teen wellbeing

    Young people from 13-19 can learn about the many opportunities, services and sources of support available in Lambeth, from arts and drama to sports, looking after their mental health and accessing contraception or sexual health advice.

  4. We’re very proud of Lambeth’s Dr Jacqui Dyer MBE and Black Thrive Lambeth’s role in developing the first anti racism framework for mental health trusts and service providers in the country. The Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (or PCREF) was published by NHS England on 30 October, and will support mental health services to embed anti-racism within their organisations.
