Cllr Judith Cavanagh

Young People's Champion, Lambeth Council

Judith is a ward Councillor for West Dulwich and Young People’s Champion for Lambeth. She’s also a member of Lambeth’s Children’s Scrutiny Committee, Corporate Parenting Board and Schools Forum.

Judith strongly believes in the importance of integrated health and care. Her perspective as a ward councillor allows her to bring residents to the forefront of discussions on how we do things better. And as a champion of Lambeth’s ambition to be recognised as a child friendly borough, she will make sure children and young people’s views are included in the work of Lambeth Together.

Judith was the national coordinator for a large coalition campaigning for greater action on tackling child poverty within the UK so has extensive experience developing effective partnerships with a range of stakeholders.

Judith is a Lambeth resident with children in local schools, a member of a local advisory board, a big fan of both women and men’s English cricket, and has recently rediscovered her love of ballet, attending classes a couple of times a week.
