Kirsten Timmins

Kirsten joined South London and the Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust as Deputy Chief Operating Officer in July 2021. Before this, Kirsten spent five years working as a senior manager in NHS England and Improvement, most recently as Head of System Performance and Delivery for the South East region. In this role, Kirsten worked with systems and trust boards providing advice, guidance and challenge on key areas such as performance, finance, clinical quality, governance, and risk.

Kirsten has 20 years’ experience working across the public sector. She was previously a chartered accountant at the National Audit Office, specialising in value for money audit- assessing central and local government policy and forming recommendations to Parliament to improve public services. She has worked previously across a range of high-profile organisations including the United Nations, Ministry of Defence, and the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office.
